A REGULAR MEE= TING of the 2011-2012 Board of Directors met at St. Mary’s-In-The-Valley Episcopal Church, Corner of San Vicente Rd. and 12^th St., Ramona= , CA 92065. The meeting was called to or= der at 6:30 p.m. by President Bob Hailey

ORDER OF BUSINESS

MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS:

Motion made by Tom Taylor, seconded b= y Mary Halliday, and carried without dissention = that the minutes of a regular board meeting held on 09/07/11 be accepted as presented. =

PRESIDENT’S REPORT:

· Mountain Em= pire Kiwanis event – info provided to the Board

· Letter from= ARRIBA asking the Kiwanis to join as a continuous donor – Letter passed to Walter Anslie and Mary Halliday for review.

SECRETARY’S CORRESPONDENCE & REPORT:

· Thank you letter from Ramona Elementary

· Thank you letter from guest speaker; Greg Ke= ster

TREASURER’S REPORT:.

Community Service: Chairman Walter Anslie had nothing to report

Human & Spiritual Values:<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> Chairman Ellen Duel did not su= bmit a report

Inter-club: Chairman Kelley Bayne did not subm= it a report

Young Children Priority One: Chairman Mary Halliday reported she deliver= ed 34 books to Head Start.

Youth Services: <= /span>Chairman Mary Halliday reported for the= Hugh O’Brien You= th Leadership Program; Pete Casalegno has taken care of the program for this y= ear. Three students have been chosen from Mt. Valley Academy. Parent’s consent papers need to be signed. Program takes place next spring. Pete will request a check for the amount need from the Kiwanis Club= .

Chairman = Mary Halliday also reported that 606 student and classroom supplies= were delivered to Ramona Elementary School.<= /span>

OTHER COMMITTEES:

Public Relations: Chairman Tom Taylor briefed us, and provided copies to the secretary, = on the numerous club activities which appeared in local publications during August. (See attachment #2)

Membership & Growth: C= hairman Paul Tarr did not submit a report

KwanCo= m: Chairman Mary Halliday reported that she purchased a roll of 100 stamps for the mailings. Reimbursement form and receipt wil= l be provided to the Treasurer.=

Focus = Group: Chairman Jim Cooper did not submit a report

Student of the Month: Chai= rman Mary Halliday reported the student of the mont= h from Montessori Academy will be honored on 10/22.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> Plaques will be ready this week.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

Kiwanis Road Sign: No Progress

Spare tire and necessary hitch par= ts for our trailer: Project Complete

NEW BUSINESS:

Bank Accounts: Change of signatories, attached form prov= ided by Richard Wade (Attachment #3). Form was signed by necessary candidate, and voted on by the board. Motion made by Walter Anslie, seconded by Debi Purcel= l, and carried without dissention that the new signatories for the bank account be accepted.

Club Senior Membership Renewal: Vote to accept renewal of Senior Membership for Jim Cooper, Charlie Teichert, and Dotty Cronin. Motion made by Tom Taylor= , seconded by Walter Anslie, and carried without dissention that the Senior Membership status be renewed for the above noted individuals for the 2011/2= 012 year.=

New Member Proposal of Carlos Murcia: Proposal brought to the board by new member sponsor Jeff Funk. Motion= made by Walter Anslie, seconded by Mary Halliday, and carried without dissention that the new member proposal of Carlos Murci= a be accepted.=

Annual Budget: Passed out = by Richard Wade, (See attachment #4). <= /span>Motion made by Richard Wade, seconded by Tom Taylor, and carried without dissention tha= t the 2011/2012 annual budget be accepted.

Food Donations @ RFCC: Jeff Funk informed the board that the Ramona F= ood and Clothes Closet is running low on food donations. He will reach out to the club via = email to request their support and donations.

Music Fest: Bob Hailey requests to open a separate bank ac= count for the Music Fest. Requireme= nts are two names from each club, Kiwanis & Rotary, on the account: Event C= hair and Treasurer of each club. C= hecks over $500.00 require 2 signatures, one from each club. Motion= made by Bob Hailey, seconded by Walter Anslie, and carried without dissention that the new bank account for Music = Fest and its terms noted above be accepted.

Cars for Cause: Jeff Funk informed the club that vehicle donat= ions to the Cars for Cause foundation can have the funds routed directly to the local Ramona Food and Clothes Closet.
