I was inspired by the nurse’s role as an ethical advocate. As an advocate, a nurse places the patient’s health and best interests in the highest regard by doing whatever it takes to ensure they receive the best and most efficient treatment. This selfless demeanor and my personal love for traveling and interacting with different cultures has inspired me to pursue an international nursing career working for a nonprofit organization such as Doctors without Borders, the Red Cross, or World Health Organization upon receiving my Bachelor of Science in nursing from UCLA.
