The annual Kiwanis fund raiser dog show (Bow Wow POW Wow) proved highly entertaining to the crowd of approximately 300 last Saturday June 11 at the Ramona Outdoor Community Center. 110 dogs passed by the judges hoping to bring home a ribbon.

Some were in costumes, some tried to look just like their owner, some did tricks to entertain us, and some just looked beautiful or handsome or just plain cute.

Shorty, a Basset/Golden Retriever mix, won the hearts of the judges and was awarded Best in Show. He also won Most Handsome Male Dog and the Best Tail Wagger category. The judges said he displayed a winning attitude. I am sure he made his companion Paul Zawilenski proud.
