A REGULAR MEE= TING of the 2010-11 Board of Directors met at St. Mary’s-In-The-Valley Episcopal Church, Corner of San Vicente Rd. and 12^th St., Ramona= , CA 92065. The meeting was called to or= der at 6:00 p.m. by President Chris Smith.

ORDER OF BUSINESS

CHANGES/ADDITIONS TO AGENDA: = Chris Smith added ‘Focus Group’ for Jim Cooper under other committees/reports

VOTE TO APPROVE AGENDA ITEMS:

Motion made by Bob Hailey= , seconded by Tom Taylor, and ca= rried without dissention that the Agenda be approved as presented.

MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS:

Motion made by Bob Hailey, seconded b= y Richard Wade, and carried without dissention that the minutes of a regular board meeting held on 08/03/11 be accepted as presented.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT: None

SECRETARY’S CORRESPONDENCE & REPORT: Distributed Annual Member Renewal form to all members. Sent two reminder emails to those who have yet to respond. Completed all necessary arrangemen= ts for our installation dinner to be held on 09/10/11. Will be out of town from 09/11/11 = until the first week of October. Ke= vin Bell will be acting secretary during this time. We are invited to attend the Boys = and Girls Club soccer arena opening celebration on 09/10/11 from 10-12 am. President Chris Smith and President Elect Bob Hailey should attend= the Division Counsel Meeting on 09/10/11 as this is the meeting where the outgo= ing presidents are officially retired and the incoming presidents are seated. Submitted reservations and payment= for the Division 37 Lt. Governor Installation dinner to be held at MCAS Miramar= Officer’s Club on 9/24/11.

TREASURER’S REPORT: Reviewed and filed as a permanent par= t of these minutes.

Richard Wade provided proposed 2012 budget, both Administrative and Foundation to t= he board and requested review and confirmation of any needed changes

STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS: (Report to Kiwanis Internation= al by Secretary Required)

Community Service: Chairman Kelley Bayne didn’t submit a report.=

Human & Spiritual Values:<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> Chairman Michael Harrison didn’t submit a report.

Inter-club: Chairman Bob Hailey reported that no inter-clubs were completed in Jul= y.

Young Children Priority One: Mary Halliday reported that she sp= ent ten hours making ten pediatric trauma dolls.

Youth Services: Chairman Walter Ainslie submitted a negative report. Mary Halliday reported that she spent eight hours in collecting hundreds of school suppli= es valued at over $400. The supp= lies will be distributed in September. Project cost was $193.35 for which Mary is to be reimbursed by the c= lub.

Membership & Growth:   Chairman Pat Bell was no= t in attendance.

Publicity: Chairman Tom Taylor briefed us, and provided copies to the secretary, = on the numerous club activities which appeared in local publications during August.

Kiwanis Road Sign: In Progress

Letter to Betty & Dave Carpent= er regarding their having been made Honorary Members:   Secretary Jeff Funk reported that the letter has been sent.

Spare tire and necessary hitch p= arts for our trailer: In progress. Jim Cooper is to complete as proposed by Chris Smith.

Motion made by Bob Hailey= , seconded by Tom Taylor, and ca= rried without dissention that Jim Cooper will take action on the spare tire and necessary hitch parts for our trailer.

NEW BUSINESS:

Possible joint Kiwanis/Rotary Proj= ect:

Bob Hailey<= span style=3D'color:black'> is to confirm with Craig Young on how many folks are needed for the painting project.

Motion made by Walter Anslie, seconded by Jim Cooper, abstained by Darrel Back, and carried without dissention to work a joint Kiwanis/Rotary Project.

Annual Membership Review:<= /p>
&nbs= p;

Secretary= read letters from Pete Casalegno and Michael Harrison requesting that their memberships not be continued for Kiwanis year 2011-12. Motion made by Jim Cooper, seconde= d by Bob Hailey, and op= posed by Walter Anslie. The motion car= ries that Pete Casalegno and Michael Harrison be dropped f= rom our membership this date.

Secretary= noted that Betty and Dave Carpenter responded to the Annual Membership Renewal by requesting they be continued as Honorary Members for Kiwanis year 2011-12.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> Motion so made by

Jim Coope= r, seconded by Mary Halliday, and carried without dissention that Betty and Da= ve Carpenter be continued as Honorary Members for the coming Kiwanis year.        =             &nb= sp;            =             =

Secretary= noted that Jose Alvarado, Rick Bellows, and Rick Terrazas have not submitted their Annual Membership Renewal forms. Bob Hailey<= span style=3D'color:black'> motioned to remove these members if no response is received on or before September 29^th, 2011. Motion seconded by Jim Cooper and carried without dissention that Jose Alvarado, Rick Bellows, and Rick Terra= zas have till September 29^th, 2011 to submit their Annual Membership Renewal forms or they will be removed from the roster.

Secretary= noted that Denise Ragsdale only paid $40.00 of her 2010-11 dues.

Chris Smi= th and Bob Hailey will discuss and determine course of action offline.
